• Relevant accountancy experience, working within a finance team related role in a local authority or wider public sector or not for profit organisation environment as part of a Financial Accounting Team. 
• Experience of year end closing processes and dealing with audit queries
• Experience of working to tight deadlines with a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly numerate and literate
• Excellent IT skills, experience and knowledge including Microsoft packages, specifically strong Excel skills and finance systems 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience of supporting change / efficiency initiatives
• Proactive development of skills and knowledge

Qualification(s) :

1. CCAB or CIMA part or fully qualified accountant desirable

Desirable:

• CCAB or CIMA part or fully qualified Accountant
• Finance systems experience
